Plans Made to Annex More Property to City
North of Broadway to Twenty Fourth Street and east to Thirtieth Street residents petitioned Quincy officials to annex their land so their children can attend public schools. Aldermen gave initial approval to study the steps, with a second petition referred for more signatures. The council also moved to coordinate with the school board to allow children of petitioners to attend Quincy schools during court approval. Other actions included grading Twenty eighth Street for factory access, approving audits and street improvements, and handling damage suits and a license refund dispute.
