Washington October 14 Predicts a fall in the barometer for the Northwest and Upper Lakes with southwesterly winds. Clouds and rain are expected in the Mississippi and Ohio Valleys as a low pressure system moves through the region.
New York Oct 14 A Boston dispatch says a suit has been begun by the present trustees of the Boston Hartford and Erie Railway against the former trustees under the Berdell mortgage for the recovery of two and a half million dollars in bonds alleged not to have been properly paid over. New York Oct 14 District Attorney Garvin has received notice that an application will be made for a further postponement of the trial of William Tweed.
