Warry G Hawker an Australian 7 years old began as a mechanic rose to an instructor under Sopwith. In 1912 he set Brit ish duration flight record 8 hours 23 minutes and won the Michelin trophy. In 1913 he set a British altitude record 12900 feet and with two passengers 10600 feet. He later claimed world altitude record 28440 feet. British Syndicate Again After Ships
New York May 20 Negotiations for a British syndicate to buy the British owned ships and assets of the International Mercantile Marine have been renewed with an offer near the previous proposal.
