A Far West land claim tale and a hard frontier bond

Dick Kelsey, a bold Kentucky pioneer, hosts a stranger and his sick wife in his western cabin. The man seeks a claim and tries to seize land with a weak preemption argument, while Dick and his slave Sam defend the stranger’s wife from abuse and uphold neighborly aid. The episode deepens trust between master and slave as danger and deception unfold on the frontier.
