St Jacobs Lutheran Church Here 65 Years in Quincy
St Jacobi Lutheran Church at Eighth and Washington marks 65 years of growth from a small German-founded parish to a large congregation of about 2000 with a brick church, school, and active social and charitable groups. Pastors Schmieding, Schmid, Hallerberg, and Hamm guided the congregation through expansion and unity, building the current church structure and sustaining a thriving parochial school and Sunday school.
