Changes Asked in Divorce Law by Gov Lowden
Springfield Ill March 26 Recommendations to the legislature for a uniform marriage and divorce act in Illinois to prevent hasty marriages and remedy defects were suggested by Judge Charles M Thompson of Cook County and sent to the General Assembly by Gov Lowden. Proposals include delay between license and ceremony two new causes for divorce non-support over two years and incurable insanity temporary divorce for one year apply to divorced persons. House and senate bills move to governor.
