Fifth District Whig CongressionaL Convention at Griggsville

Delegates from Adams Fulton Brown Schuyler Pike Greene Jersey gathered in Griggsville on June 5 to nominate the Whig candidate for Congress. J P Boice presided, with Dills and Worthington steering rules. D. M. Woodson is nominated pending health, Henry Clay is endorsed, Theodore Frelinghuysen to be VP, and Williams considered for Elector.
