Failure to Keep Minutes Hurts Adams County Tax Levy

Judge McCarl rules in Adams County Wabash case that Clayton Houston and Camp Point townships cannot collect road and bridge taxes from the railroad while Me rose Fall Creek and Northeast townships overruled for lax records. The decision cites negligent highway commissioners failing to keep minutes and meetings in August, costing about 1100 in taxes to township residents. Wabash objected to county levy components for official services and to special appropriations, while objections about county tax levy were overruled for lack of definite terms.
