Naval Reserves to Be Organized in Quincy Area

The Old Quincy Naval Reserve will be reorganized into a new unit of four divisions forming a battalion of 500 to 600 men within 25 miles of Quincy. Former Navy Lt W A Johnson says four year enlistments from postwar reserves compose the roster. Members will drill at least 48 hours yearly with pay two months plus 25 percent for each four year enlistment. An Eagle boat and a submarine chaser will be assigned to the local unit, training on board boats in summer. Armory space is uncertain, potentially meeting in the government building.
