In New York George R Sinclair former cashier of the Commercial Bank of New Brunswick is arrested for embezzling one hundred thousand dollars and jailed without bail.
Chicago fire reports say a large planing mill owned by Ald. Russell on Fulton Street burned to the ground late last night with total losses estimated at no less than 75000 dollars and no insurance. Earlier yesterday a fire nearly destroyed the Maison Doree billiard saloon on Wapene Avenue.
