Cattle Convention Second Day Proceedings in SURTINGFIELD

The National Board of Cattle Commissioners held the second day of its session in Surtingfield Indiana with delegates from Pennsylvania and Dr Townsend of Iowa. California and Oregon Electors Vote for Grant and Colfax

In California electors met and cast the state vote for Grant and Colfax with an official majority of 520. In Oregon electors voted for Seymour and Blair, with an official majority of 164. The results were announced from San Francisco and reflect regional support for the Union candidates.

Wm C Bryant sold his interest in the Evening Post of New York. Another Thaddeus Stevens has died in Troy. a soldier of 1812 and a man aged 88.
