New York dispatch reports letters indicate two of four Ku Klux prisoners at Albany, chosen for pardon, were most ferocious toward African Americans during the war and led the Ku Klux groups in their districts. The Attorney General warns against pardoning them. Also notes weather forecast predicting diminishing pressure and cloudier skies for Saturday, and a Revenue Regulation order barring seizures of goods in transit unless proven contraband.
