Venizelos Reaffirms Monarchy Yet Seeks Another Trial
In Athens the Greek premier Venizelos declared parliament sees no time yet for a republic and that the monarchy deserves another trial. He noted M. Carantaris’s pro republic view did not reflect the government stance, stressing monarchic continuity under a democratic framework guarded by a king. The chamber applauded the clarified position.
