An morning collision on the Alleghany Railroad near this city damaged both engines and two freight cars. The passenger train fireman broke a leg. No passengers hurt. A boy named William Miller was killed in the 12th ward on the same line. In Poughkeepsie, another crash occurred at Fort Montgomery on the Hudson River Road when an extra freight and a through freight collided after a misplaced switch.
