TREACHEROUS MURDER CHARGE IN ILLINOIS TALE ENDS WITH LIVING FISHER
In 1841 three Trailors and Fisher vanished. after a wild search in Springfield, Archibald and William Trailor confessed to murdering Fisher and concealing his body in a forest. A later report revealed Fisher was alive, prompting trials, dissections of motives, and reflections on justice and memory of the case.
