Inspiration fuels Cathy Carey art linked to Syd Masters
Cathy Carey moved from the east coast to New Mexico in 2000 to teach art in Santa Fe and met Syd Masters whose New Mexico landscapes inspired her. Her gallery connections led to a series inspired by Masters songs and a batch of paintings capturing the state’s sky and open spaces.
