Silver City Skate Park reflects growth and inclusion
In Silver City, skaters recall a boom era and evolution to a more inclusive scene. The new 2010 park by Grindline transformed the town’s skate culture, aided by community input, youth mural work, and local businesses like Twin Sisters Cycling and Fitness expanding to serve skaters. Renowned skater-pro Andrew Hawk lauded the sport’s shift toward accessibility and diversity, noting parks as gathering spaces for all ages and backgrounds.
