Logan dominates opening volleyball tourney to claim title
Defending Class 1A champion Logan cruised to a season opening title at the Lady Longhorn Volleyball Tournament. The Tigers swept through three matches including a final 25-18 25-15 25-10 over Grady/San Jon. Tucumcari went 2-1 to take consolation. Logan’s Karli Webb, coming off knee surgery, impressed with strong blocks and spikes as coach Robert Young praised improved play and early blocking and serve receive work. Grady/San Jon, also a 1A state qualifier, lost to Logan after opening wins, with coach Rebecca Burns noting flat energy and a need for more confidence as the tournament moved to Page 2B.
