New Mexico districts join PED COVID suit led by Gallup
A group of school districts and Mission Achievement and Success Charter Schools join a Santa Fe lawsuit against Education Secretary Ryan Stewart and the Public Education Department. The suit, led by Gallup-McKinley County Schools, argues PED overstepped authority with COVID restrictions and misused CARES Act funds, seeking voiding of directives and restoration of diverted funds. Logan Municipal Schools also joined with a no-fault opt-out and limited liability.
