Tucumcari Holds Hearings On LEDA Qualifying Venues
Tucumcari city commissioners held two public hearings at City Hall to consider Ordinances 1125 and 1126 advancing LEDA funding for cultural venues including the Princess and Odeon theaters. Ordinance 1125 adds qualifying entities to the municipal code enabling state funds for repairs and facade work. Ordinance 1126 reclassifies East Smith Avenue block 700 from commercial to residential. Both measures passed unanimously.

Tucumcari mechanic wins 2015 Castle Award at Conchas
Daniel J. Joe Martinez of Tucumcari received the 2015 U.S. Army Corps of Engineers District Castle Award on October 6 at a district town hall in Conchas. He is a maintenance mechanic supervisor at the Conchas Lake project office and was honored by district commander Lt. Col. Patrick Dagon for a long record of project leadership and support to the district's Operations and Civil WorksInfrastructure.
