Screening draws 186 for Tucumcari Odeon fundraiser
More than 180 people attended a Route 66 documentary screening at Tucumcari's Odeon Theatre to raise funds for restoring the facade and neon lighting. The event coincided with New Mexico Main Street's fall three day meeting, the first quarterly gathering in Tucumcari since 2011. Connie Loveland cited preservation of historic downtown theaters as the motivation, and 186 attendees were counted with concessions and pizza sales aiding the effort.
