Operation Legend debated by New Mexico officials and Barr
U S Attorney General William Barr and U S Attorney John Anderson outlined Operation Legend at a Albuquerque press conference on October 14 praising federal help while noting local action delays. Albuquerque reports show 7 362 crimes against persons January through July with 33 homicides. Barr cited 10 million in aid for 40 new officers, but said city action is pending.
