Charity groups provide Thanksgiving meals in Tucumcari
In Tucumcari two faith based groups, Ministry of Hope and the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, coordinated nearly 200 turkeys and 75 hams for about 275 local families. Recipients qualify in advance and receive food and clothing at no cost. Volunteers packed boxes as Doyle Frazier notes larger families get extra trimmings. The Ministry of Hope bought about 100 turkeys and 75 hams for roughly $1600 with community donations. Fresh produce also contributed.
