Canvassed election results finalize Quay County races
The Quay County Commission approved the Nov 5 election canvass at a Nov 12 special meeting. Incumbents William Runyan and Philip Runyon won House Municipal Schools seats by 39–35 and 39–33, after provisional ballots in Quay County did not change outcomes. Turnout reached about 21.5 percent countywide, aided by state rules on consolidating local elections. The panel also discussed inmate mental health costs and authorized a $45,000 feasibility study for a two-mile road between 12 Shores Golf Course and U S 54 near Logan with Stantec engineering.
