Five Tucumcari City Commissioners Face Possible Recall
Petitions circulated at Tucumcari City Hall may trigger recall elections for all five city commissioners. Valid signatures exist for recall efforts against Doran Salinas-McTigue and Jimmy Sandoval, with 23 signatures needed to force a special election in each district. Mayor Amiel Curnutt and Districts 3 4 5 commissioners respond that recalls are a legal right.

Three Tucumcari Residents Face Burglary Charges
Police say Louis Padilla and Johnny Salazar were arrested early Thursday inside a building in the 1000 block of East High Avenue after a man was seen entering through a basement window at 4 14 a.m. The men face three felony counts of non residential burglary larceny and conspiracy. The building had surveillance since Oct 24 following a prior burglary probe.
