Burglary, warrants, and trespass noted in blotter
At 8 43 a m a man reported a vehicle burglary on West Campbell Avenue 700 block. At 10 12 a m an officer stopped a vehicle on East Quay Road 6000 block AP. a man was arrested on a warrant and jailed at Quay County Detention Center. At 1 07 p m a woman reported two unwanted men at a fuel station on South Mountain Road 1900 block. Officers contacted the men and told them to stay off the property.

Seven Mesalands Community College rodeo team members qualified for the College National Finals Rodeo after strong performances at the NMSU rodeo in Las Cruces. Betty Pack, Kit Pettigrew, Chaz Kananen, Steven Gaona, Morgan McVay, Daniel Baeza, Edmiles Harvey, and Derren Meyers earned spots through top finishes in breakaway roping, tie down, team roping, bareback, and bull riding, with the CNFR set for June 15 to 21 in Casper, Wyoming.
