Eight Quay County 4-H members competed at the State 4-H Shooting Sports contest near Raton, tackling rifle three position and silhouette events, plus two shotgun disciplines. Quay County 4 Hers debuted at a team shooting contest led by Taylor Atwood Daniel Hight Antonio Rodriguez and Weigel with Team 1 placing 10th and Team 2 led by Hight scoring 66. The archery meet included PITA circular targets and a 3 D course with foam animals from 5 to 50 yards as Blake Moon Carmen Runyan headed the county archers and the squad finished 6th.
