EDC Holds First Tucumcari Meet And Greet Session
Five Tucumcari residents attended a March 18 kickoff session at the Tucumcari Convention Center to hear Patrick Vanderpool describe the Greater Tucumcari Economic Development Corporation goals. Weekly noon meetings run Mondays through May 20 with future plans to assess ongoing efforts. Vanderpool outlined projects including Five Mile Park revitalization, the closed Kmart, Shell Truck Plaza, a food co op, Tucumcari Biofuels, and an aquaponics initiative while stressing poverty, local business growth, and quality of life as core aims.
