Roch defends priorities after Tucumcari meeting on NM budget
Republican State Rep. Dennis Roch of Texico spoke to about 50 Tucumcari residents on Sunday about the 90 day session. He criticized the $5.4 billion revenue forecast and the education cuts tied to the budget. He warned against tapping the Land Grant Permanent Fund and stressed spending on NM citizens’ priorities. Roch noted the session ended Saturday at noon and pressed defense over proposed district splits.
