Viewpoint unfair to yoke compassion to legal wrangling
The Jeff Davis County attorney Teresa Todd helped three migrants on a cold February night in West Texas inviting them into her car after one appeared ill. A sheriff deputy detained her briefly. she later faced a federal inquiry though we now deem the incident plainly innocent. The migrants remain in Sierra Blanca detention. Todd’s act of aid embodies humane values and should be unpunished.
