Logan veterans memorial marker dedication a community event

More than 100 Logan residents gathered for the dedication of the Logan Veterans Memorial Marker at Logan Cemetery. A flyover by Cannon AFB aircraft honored fallen service members as Col. Paul Pena spoke about supporting veterans and future troops. 115 names are on the stone with more anticipated, according to Randy Bruhn.

Friday Night and Cattle Show Weekend at Quay County

Friday features a stuffed sopapilia dinner from 6 30 to 8 p m at the Elks Lodge and Que Locos Cage fighting from 6 to 10 p m at the Quay County Fairgrounds. Saturday hosts the Mother Road Rally parade car and bike show and poker run at the Quay County Fair Grounds along with Ranch Cutting Competition starting at 8 a m open class rules restrict earnings for horses and a cowboy class with no prior winnings. Entries cost 150 dollars per participant.
