NM Gas hikes rates in fall for NM customers
New Mexico Gas Co will raise bills by an average 7 percent with an effective date of October 1. The average residential bill is expected to rise about 7.1 percent while the fixed monthly access fee remains 12.40 dollars. An uncontested March settlement set a revenue increase of 30 million, down from the company's 49 million request. NM Gas employs 740 people in 26 offices and operates over 12,000 miles of pipeline.

Ferguson inducted into New Mexico Hall of Fame in 2018
Ferguson, a Year finalist, was inducted into the New Mexico Track and Cross Country Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2018. He served on the NMAA Commission and sports committees, chaired district duties from 2002 to 2018, and lives in Tucumcari with wife Leslie. They have two children and two grandsons.
