Tucumcari approves 25 million final budget for 2021
Tucumcari City Commission approves a 25 million dollar final budget for fiscal year 2021 ending June 30 2021 with a 631945 deficit. Finance Director Arias notes a 447892 deficit in the general fund drives most of the shortfall while the fund ends the year with a 216081 favorable balance. Interim Manager Martinez warns deficits ahead and urges cash reserve policy review. The vote was 3 1 with Moya abstaining and Villanueva absent.
