Man pleads guilty in Tucumcari beating death case
Dennis J. Hendren, 36, pleaded guilty in the Tenth Judicial District to two counts of tampering with evidence and one count of conspiracy to tamper with evidence in the July 9 2011 homicide of Shirley Pacheco. A jury was set to hear the trial before the deal. Pacheco was found dead at her Arapahoe Street home in Tucumcari. Her brother Jason Pacheco was slain in 2007.
