San Jon track upgrade proposal wins school board support
San Jon High School track coach Brad Bryant presented a plan to refurbish the district track circling the football field with a four lane rubberized surface at an estimated cost up to 150000. He aims to raise about 75000 locally with an in kind donation for asphalt removal leaving 75000 from the district. The proposal echoes Grady High School renovations and seeks to rekindle Coyotes sports enthusiasm after ending the Grady partnership. Board President Frank Gibson and member Cynthia Lee endorsed the plan while Tommy Evans suggested further cost cuts via donations.
