The Tucumcari City Commission approved contracts for East Hancock Avenue water line work with J&D Contracting Co of Albuquerque for 470 615 73 dollars and for Second Street water line projects totaling 305 239 dollars with funding from federal and state sources. Jimmy Neal Armstrong aged 49 of Tucumcari faces a fourth-degree felony count for bringing contraband into the Quay County Detention Center. Deputies say he slid a paper with a name and orange Suboxone fragment under a pod door and officers found Suboxone sewn in socks. Armstrong previously pled guilty to resisting an officer in a plea deal.
