District weighs wing space for Early Head Start amid TES unsuitability
Interim Superintendent Dave Johnson told the Tucumcari school board that Early Head Start may use a wing at the district unit office on West Amarosa Avenue instead of Tucumcari Elementary School due to missing bathrooms and window problems at TES. The State Library currently rents that space for 800 a month and may allow an early contract exit. Eastern Plains Community Action Agency would fund renovations if the unit office wing is used.
