Three Men Detain After Fast Chase Near Tucumcari
In January 1965 New Mexico State Police stopped a high speed pursuit on the west side of town. Three men William Randolph Amy, William Warren Nater Jr., and Mike Jerry Watson refused to identify themselves and claimed Orange County Branch Jail ties. Authorities believed them to be escapees from Santa Ana, California.
