Arch Hurley considers wind and solar revenue for district
Los Alamos National Laboratory economists and engineers conclude Arch Hurley Conservancy District could finance improvements with wind and solar facilities on district property. An $80,000 study funded by New Mexico Small Business Assistance finds potential annual revenue of about $65,000, with total project costs around $18.6 million and a 20 year horizon. Potential site is a 640 acre area seven miles south of Tucumcari Airport, capable of three or more 300 foot wind turbines and over 10 MW of solar.
