Tucumcari officer surrenders in B and E case
Off duty Tucumcari police officer Pete Vargas, 32, surrendered to New Mexico State Police in Tucumcari after a warrant named him for breaking and entering and criminal damage to property. He posted a $10,000 appearance bond and was released. Vargas, employed 3 1/2 years, faces a fourth degree felony and misdemeanor in connection with a Sunday home break in on South Sixth Street.

USPS to Transfer Tucumcari Mail Processing to Albuquerque
