Fire destroys Leslie Fish ranch home near Quay
On December 27 1973 a fire destroyed the Leslie Fish ranch home three miles south of Quay ending with the loss of all belongings. Josephine Bradley owned the house. Fish lived there five or six years and was away when the blaze started. A passer-by first saw smoke mistaking it for a trash fire before noting the east wing in flames. Tucumcari House and Forrest firefighters battled the blaze.
