Two Tucumcari police officers Justin Garcia and Santo Saenz were cleared of wrongdoing after a November shootout with Lawrence P. Rivas who allegedly forced a woman driver to evade police. Rivas fled on city streets with children inside the vehicle and fired at officers. bullets damaged a house and the vehicle. State police conducted the criminal investigation and Rivas faces eight felonies.
