Clovis City Commissioner Bryant resigns amid dispute
Clovis City Commissioner David Bryant submitted his resignation effective immediately citing hostility and personal attacks. Mayor Mike Morris had accused Bryant of lying about attending a taxpayer funded training in Santa Fe, with discussions over filling the seat expected at the September 7 and 21 meetings. Doug Petti grew has expressed interest in District 3 seat. Bryant was elected March 1, 2022, to a four year term, defeating Paul Nelson 71 to 50.
