Filing day Tuesday August 29 at the Quay County Courthouse in Tucumcari runs 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for candidates seeking Nov 7 seats. Ellen White notes declarations of candidacy are required and forms are available at the clerk’s office or sos rm gov before and during filing. Early voting starts October 10 with weekday hours 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday hours 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
