New Mexico Public Education Department results show House High Logan High San Jon Middle and Tucumcari Middle failed to meet Adequate Yearly Progress in 2010. All schools fell short on math, while Logan Municipal Schools had met AYP in the prior three years and plans introduce Algebra earlier starting with eighth graders.

Bike run to aid Toys for Tots charity in Tucumcari
The First Assembly Church of God in Tucumcari plans its Love for the Little Ones motorcycle run to collect toys for children in foster care or away from home. Bikers meet at 8 15 a m at the Tucumcari Convention Center and ride in the Rattler Reunion Parade of Classes at 9 a m.
