Quay County Commission selects Vital Consulting Group of Albuquerque for a 2.62 million project to bypass and rebuild the Old Route 66 bridge over San Jon Creek between Endee and San Jon. The bid tops the engineer’s 1.97 million estimate by about 650 thousand. The 1931 span will stay standing for tourist viewing.
