K-9 Toro Aims to Sniff Out Drugs Near Port of Entry
Chelle Delaney reports Toro the 18 month old Belgian Shepherd is a new K 9 unit for the QCSO. After less than 40 hours on duty he alerted to marijuana near Interstate 40 and helped seize over 400 pounds. Funding covered by San Jon county cooperative agreement and Tucumcari Ranch Supply. Toro will patrol schools and assist other agencies, with ongoing refresher training planned.
