From our own correspondent wheat is valued at 93 cents a bushel. Threshing on the Bell Farm will finish in two weeks as rain eases work. Farmers continue gathering grain while others travel and plan visits to Ontario and San Francisco.
Farmers thresh and wheat brings 60 cents to $1 as crops come in. Community events include a Necktie and Patch social and a dramatic club satire. Minutes of South Qu Appelle council report taxes, by laws, payments, and appointments including J C Starr as collector and C E Cullen as immigrant agent. meetings set for November 17 and December 1 with debates on arrears, statute labor, and land tax issues.

The Assembly approved by 14 to 6 the principle that a public vote should decide Prohibition or license. Viewpoints differ on who should conduct the vote and by what method but the prevailing view favors an Assembly ballot. The body may determine how to carry out the principle and whether the Dominion Government should oversee the process.
