Wheat No Whard At 93 Cents Per Bushel

From our own correspondent wheat is valued at 93 cents a bushel. Threshing on the Bell Farm will finish in two weeks as rain eases work. Farmers continue gathering grain while others travel and plan visits to Ontario and San Francisco.

Legislative Assembly Votes for Plebiscite on Prohibition

The Assembly approved by 14 to 6 the principle that a public vote should decide Prohibition or license. Viewpoints differ on who should conduct the vote and by what method but the prevailing view favors an Assembly ballot. The body may determine how to carry out the principle and whether the Dominion Government should oversee the process.
