North West Territories sale conducted on shortest notice. Bids may be made at Millce or at Paocsms QUAITELLE. Public notice urges prompt action and acknowledgment of limited preparation time for all interested bidders.
Public notice states the Board of Trustees plans to borrow two hundred dollars via debenture at eight percent for contingent expenses. Election held Saturday 28th 1886 between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. at North West Territory. Voters must be ratepayers or twenty one and over and have voted before. John Mitch and John Aidlaw appear as officers.

Trustees of the Mount Pleasant Protestant Public School District No 39 of the Northwest Territories announce a loan of six hundred dollars secured by debentures at eight percent interest. Debentures redeemable at bearer in ten equal annual installments pay the principal from Edgeley on July 6, 1886. Signed by trustees F F Goodwin and Geo Scaeff.
The Manitoba Dairy Association held an 1886 Winnipeg meeting on July 14 electing Wm Wagner Ossowo C V Halliwell J M Wakopa Lont and others to the board. Officers chosen July 28 include President Wagner and First VP Fraser with plans for a September convention. The group urges broad attendance and invites membership fees while noting Ontario dairy groups and government support boosting dairy exports and prices.

A lone bandit on horseback stopped a mail coach near Salt Plains, forced the driver and passengers to kneel, tied their wrists, and escaped with cash and valuables. The robber, described as about 35, brown hair, 160 pounds, wearing knitted attire and a slouch hat, warned riders to stay down and left the scene after freeing the others. Earlier dawn, a tent with Swanston party was also robbed of cash. Both incidents appear to be single-handed.
