The Public Ledger Licence Granted in 1759
William Faden receives license to print and publish The Public Ledger an illustrated index of all advertisements proposals schemes and amusements in daily evening and weekly papers across the kingdom. Notice of sales lost goods and various notices follow from York to London with inns houses and ships for auction or letting and a March 14 entry lists further notices and addresses from Cambridge Journal and other publishers.
